Charges: Contempt of Court

Details: On November 16, 2023 Officer Peterson conducted a motor vehicle stop on a white Chevrolet pickup truck on Fabrow Drive. The stop was conducted for a motor vehicle violation. During Peterson’s investigation occupants of the vehicle, Joseph Delaney and John Doran, were found to have active warrants for their arrest. Both subjects were arrested and transported to HTPD for processing. Once processed, they were released on their own recognizance. The matter will be heard in municipal court.

Details:On November 17, 2023 Sgt Panzano met with the victim of fraud at HTPD headquarters. The victim advised that money was taken from their Well’s Fargo account and transferred to a sports betting platform. $484.62 was transferred from the account. However, Wells Fargo did reimburse the account. At this time, the victim suffered no monetary loss.

Details: On November 17, Sgt Panzano met with the victim of fraud at HTPD headquarters. The victim reported that an unknown subject gained access to their Wells Fargo Bank account. The victim reported that $200.00 was taken from his account, however the money was re-imbursed by Wells Fargo. At this time, the victim suffered no monetary loss.

11/18/2023 Time: 4:33 PM Jurisdiction – Hopewell Township

Type of Incident: Shoplifting
Accused Name: Daniel Cohen 
Accused Address: Mountainview Rd Ewing, NJ 08628
Investigating / Arresting Officer: Paul Alvaro 

Details: On November 18, 2023 Officer Alvaro was dispatched to the Hopewell Valley Car Wash on North Route 31 for a reported shoplifting. Store management reported that a male suspect stole 10 records from inside the store. Officer Alvaro was able to review surveillance footage which assisted in his investigation. Through Alvaro’s investigation, he was able to identify a Daniel Cohen as the subject involved in the incident. Cohen was charged on a summons for shoplifting and the matter will be heard in municipal court.

Details:  On November 20, 2023 Sgt Karnoff met with the victim of theft at HTPD. The victim reported that a package was stolen from his doorstep between 11/18/2023 and 11/20/2023. The victim reported that a delivery was made on a package that she ordered, however when she came home the package was missing from the doorstep. The victim did contact the vendor, who stated their record showed the package was delivered successfully. The total value of the stolen package was listed as $270.00.

Type of Incident: Attempted Fraud 
Investigating Officer: Neil Hunt

Details: On November 21, 2023 Officer Hunt met with the victim of attempted fraud in the HTPD lobby. The victim reported that they received calls and text messages from an unknown party requesting the victim provide them funds or their family would be in danger. The person was trying to get the victim to send $3,000.00. The victim ultimately did not send any money to the unknown party. Residents are reminded to use caution and not release any personal identifying information when dealing with unknown person(s) online or on the phone.

Date: 11/21/2023 Time: 3:12 PM Jurisdiction – Hopewell Township

Type of Incident: Theft / Fraud
Investigating Officer: Neil Hunt 

Details: On November 21, 2023 Officer Hunt met with the victim of fraud in the HTPD lobby. The victim reported that two fraudulent checks were cashed using her account information. The victim was notified of the transactions on 11/21. The checks were for $1088.46 and $1658.12. Information regarding the transactions was provided to Officer Hunt. The investigation is ongoing.

Date: 11/21/2023 Time: 3:12 PM Jurisdiction – Hopewell Township

Type of Incident: Theft / Fraud
Investigating Officer: Paul Alvaro 

Details: On November 22, 2023 Officer Alvaro responded to a River Rd address for a reported theft and fraud case. The victim reported that multiple checks were stolen and cashed on her account. The check numbers were accurate to checks that she mailed out for different payments. However, it appears as though the checks may have been stolen from the mail and never reached their destination. The amounts on the checks were also altered by the unknown subject(s). The total amount reported as lost was approximately $7,000. The investigation is ongoing.

Accused Name: Jennifer Kincannon
Accused Address: Staghorn Dr Mount Laurel, NJ 08054
Charges: DUI 

Details: On November 24, 2023 Officer Peterson responded to a motor vehicle crash on Patterson Avenue involving a vehicle and a UPS truck. During Officer Peterson’s on scene investigation, the driver of the vehicle (identified as Jennifer Kincannon) was found to be under the influence. After conducted field sobriety tests on scene. Kincannon was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to HTPD for processing. Kincannon was later released form custody. The matter will be heard in municipal court.

Accused Name: Sandy Adams
Accused Address: North Olden Ave Trenton, NJ 08629
Investigating Officer: Blake Demeter 

Details: On November 26, 2023 HTPD was contacted by Secaucus PD who reported that had a female in custody identified as Sandy Adams. Adams had an active warrant for her arrest out of Hopewell Township for $2500. Officer Demeter responded to Secaucus PD for arrest and transport of Adams. Adams was transported to Mercer County Correctional Facility were she is lodged pending her court appearance. The matter will be heard in Superior Court.

Accused Name: Ann Guadgnino 
Accused Address: Monsey Road Flemington, NJ 08822
Investigating Officer: Neil Hunt

Details: On November 26, 2023 Officer Hunt conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt 579 in the area of Church Road on a red Ford Mustang. The driver, identified as Ann Guadgnino, was found to have a active warrants for her arrest out of Trenton, Lawrence, and Far Hills Borough. Guadgnino was arrested and transported to HTPD for processing. She was later turned over to the custody of Lawrence Township Police Department in default of bail. The matter will be heard in municipal court.

Type of Incident: Eluding Police with Motor Vehicle
Investigating / Arresting Officer: Vincent Amabile
Accused Name: Brian Cobel
Accused Address: Jonathan Drive Easton PA 18045 
Charges: Resisting Arrest by Eluding with a Motor Vehicle

Details: On November 21, 2023 Officer Amabile along with officers from HTPD and other jurisdictions attempted to stop a motor vehicle which was driving recklessly endangering the public. The call was originally transferred from Hunterdon County Communications. The vehicle refused to stop through multiple jurisdictions and finally came to a stop on I-295 near the Scotch Road ramp. The driver, identified as Brian Cobel, was arrested on contact and transported to HTPD for processing. Cobel was charged with Resisting Arrest by Eluding with a Motor Vehicle, along with numerous motor vehicle citations. The matter will be heard in Superior Court.
