Investigating Officer: Marissa McCallum
Charges: Contempt of Court
Details: On June 6, 2025 Officer McCallum conducted a motor vehicle stop on North Route 31 near Mine Road on a Silver Mitsubishi Galant. Officer McCallum made contact with the driver, identified as Frank Velazquez. The driver was found to have an NCIC warrant active out of Mercer County. Velazquez was arrested on scene and transported to HTPD for processing. He was later transported and turned over to Mercer County Corrections Center. The matter will be heard in Superior Court.

Type of Incident: Theft
Investigating Officer: Brandon Kuzma
Details: On June 14, 2025 Officer Kuzma responded to Wildflowers Restaurant for a reported theft. The reporting party advised that there was a theft from the cashier drawer, which was captured on surveillance footage. The footage showed a male suspect, who was identified as a door dash delivery worker, at the front counter. The subject went behind the counter and removed a $50 bill from the register and left. Footage was forwarded to the investigating officer and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

Accused Name: Xavier Bush
Accused Address: Walker Ave Ewing, NJ 08638
Investigating Officer: Paul Alvaro
Charges: DUI, Open Container
Details: On June 15, 2025 Officer Alvaro responded to Marshalls Corner and Mine Road for a reported single vehicle motor vehicle crash. The vehicle, an Audi A4, was observed with heavy front-end damage after crashing into a tree. Officers conducted an on-scene investigation. The driver, identified as Xavier Bush, exhibited signs of intoxication. He was ultimately charged with DUI and a number of motor vehicle summonses, including open container. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.

Type of Incident: Identity Theft
Investigating Officer: Marissa McCallum
Details: On June 4, 2025 Officer McCallum responded to an Aaron Truehart Way address for a reported identity theft and fraud. The victim reported being contacted by what they believed to be the consulate of India in New York. Personal identifying information was provided by the victim, including identification numbers and date of birth. The victim was advised to monitor their credit and banking statements closely going forward. Further information regarding the unidentified subject was provided to the officer. The investigation is ongoing.

Details: On June 6, 2025 Officer Stanton met with the victim of fraud in the HTPD lobby. The victim reported receiving an email from what they thought was Paypal in regards to an invoice for a purchase supposedly made on Coin Base Inc. The email was ultimately found to be fraudulent, however the victim provided a large sum of money to an unidentified party before they realized it was fraudulent. The victim responded to the email by telephone using a number shown in the email. Once contact was made, the victim provided a number of large transactions to an unidentified party. At this time, the victim has filed reports with their personal bank, police, and the internet crimes complaint center. The matter is under investigation.
